Ileana Bravo
A familiar face to television viewers for the past three decades, Ileana Bravo is a respected, award-winning journalist and media professional.
Known for her journalistic style of in-depth reporting, she has covered significant news stories locally, nationally, and globally. She reported the news for South Florida television network affiliates, and then specialized in Health & Medical reporting for NBC6, where she was nationally syndicated on NBC stations.
Recipient of four regional Emmy awards for excellence in writing and reporting, as well as the prestigious Alfred I. DuPont–Columbia University Award, and George Foster Peabody Award for team coverage of Hurricane Andrew as NBC6 Health News Anchor.
Her television broadcast career started upon graduation from the University of Miami when she quickly earned her wings during a tumultuous era of drug wars, riots, mass migrations/revolutions in the Caribbean and Latin America, and record-breaking homicides. She was the only South Florida TV journalist to travel to Cuba on the high seas to cover the historic Mariel Boat Lift.
She transitioned from television news to form Ileana Bravo Productions, a consulting firm where she quickly garnered attention for her specialized work as an on-camera spokesperson, a voiceover artist, and media, marketing & communications training.

She serves as a spokesperson for University of Miami/UHealth Hospital Systems, moderating webinars with physicians and patients; and appearing in Spanish in bi-monthly sponsored television medical interstitials on Telemundo51 South Florida, “Cuidando Su Salud.”
