Television Journalist
Ileana Bravo is known for her in-depth reporting and coverage of significant news stories locally, nationally, and globally. For more than 20 years, she served as a Reporter/Anchor for South Florida television network affiliates and spent a decade as a Health & Medical Specialist for NBC6, where she was nationally syndicated on NBC stations. Her exceptional work has earned her four regional Emmy awards, the prestigious Alfred I. DuPont–Columbia University Award, and the George Foster Peabody Award for team coverage of Hurricane Andrew.
Throughout her career, Ileana has covered pivotal and historic events such as the historic Mariel BoatLift, where she was the only South Florida TV journalist to travel to Cuba by boat. Her journalism career began upon graduating from the University of Miami, quickly establishing her reputation during a tumultuous era marked by drug wars, riots, and record-breaking homicides. Her dedication to excellence and impactful storytelling has solidified her legacy as a distinguished journalist.
